I began my association with Paul through the writing of ‘Beyond the White Sails’ in 2004. Through Caulfield Grammar’s commission, I was fortunate to work with Paul on the development of this Song Cycle which means that when I teach the songs to students, the words come alive. I am able to tell the story behind them and the students enjoy the richness of Paul’s storytelling through the lyrics imbedded in his fabulously accessible music.
Paul is such a fabulously inspiring and inclusive teacher who really connects with the students and staff. He manages to respond to each one of the students’ suggestions with positive and encouraging feedback. Fabulous as an artist in residence, performing to groups of students and teaching them songs from around the world. He inspires creativity wherever he goes!
