Paul has written, performed and produced the music for three adventure films directed by renowned film maker Mike Dillon, with producer/engineer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Kennard.
Everest – The Boy who Dared – 2008
Written and released in 2008, the adventure film follows the true story of Christopher Harris, who at age 12 attempted the summit of Mt Everest, after climbing the highest mountain on each continent before the age of 11.
With Chris’s father Richard, author and mountaineer Lincoln Hall and Mike Dillon by his side, the boy made Camp 3 and beyond, at the time, the highest point ever reached by someone his age. A severe oxygen attack forced him off the mountain. Lincoln Hall summited alone and survived the night on the top of the mountain.
Paul had previously written the piece ‘The Will to Climb’ about Christopher, and the title was soon used for the book release.
The piece also featured as the finale to the Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony in 2003

A Little Bit Mongolian – 2010
This documentary picked up 5 international film awards and received the highest honour at the Banff International Film festival. It follows the story of Angus Paradice, a 12 year old boy from Scone who became the first non-Mongolian to compete in the Nadaam Horse races of Mongolia.
Mike Dillon followed Angus and his family on a wild ride across Mongolia, working on a farm, training for the race and the big day itself. The story inspired an exciting and evocative score by Paul featuring Monglian Khummi singing, Morin Huur (horse head cello), children’s choir, and harmonic singing.
