Paul Jarman is a very talented multi- instrumental musician. He is able to put his practical knowledge to excellent educational use through his compositions and his informative workshops and classroom work.
Paul has the skills to reach every level of music education – entertaining students from pre- school to University level. His compositions cater for all age levels and always have interesting stories, which go hand in hand with his use of innovative musical concepts. i.e use of ethnic/world/ folk music concepts, an area in which he is very familiar. His own pieces work well with all students because they often have very clear lyrical melodies, interesting chordal progressions and catchy accompaniments and ostinatos.
Paul works well with clients ( schools and community groups) to produce musical compositions appropriate to occasions/ceremonies that may occur in the life of a school or community. He takes the time to research and acquire knowledge about the group he is writing for collaborating with all the stake holders in the venture. He likes his clients to feel that any commissions he writes are jointly written, and by doing this, he encourages all to travel with him on the journey and enjoy the end result.
Paul’s enthusiasm is catchy, as he a wonderful educator with an infectious passion for all types of Music. His personality and disposition, and his affable nature help him to work well with others.
